Mayor Kenney to Visit PHLpreK Program on First Day

What: Mayor Kenney will visit PHLpreK students on their first day of school at Beautiful Beginnings. As of Wednesday, all PHLpreK programs will be in session.

After a successful summer enrollment period, PHLpreK’s 2,000 seats are full. Over 400 children ages 3-4 are on waitlists across the city. Beautiful Beginnings enrolls 11 children through PHLpreK and has a waiting list of 15 more children.

Mayor Kenney will participate in a classroom activity from 11:00 – 11:15, then deliver brief remarks regarding the impact of PHLpreK.
