All across the city, Philadelphians are preparing to witness history as the Democratic National Convention (DNC) comes to town. One way residents can join the event is through PoliticalFest, a one-of-a-kind festival.

This non-partisan exhibit will celebrate political history, government, and the road to the White House. PoliticalFest is a six-day celebration that runs from July 22—27, 2016, taking place at seven different sites throughout Philadelphia leading up to the Democratic National Convention.

Organized by the Democratic National Convention’s non-profit Host Committee, PoliticalFest combines multimedia and interactive displays, historical objects, and special guest appearances designed to entertain and engage residents and convention attendees alike.

PoliticalFest exhibition sites are accessible by public transportation and include:

  • Pennsylvania Convention Center, Hall F, 12th and Arch Streets
  • National Constitution Center, 525 Arch Street
  • The Library Company of Philadelphia, 1314 Locust Street
  • Philadelphia History Museum, 15 South 7th Street
  • The Heritage Center of the Union League of Philadelphia, 140 South Broad Street
  • National Liberty Museum, 321 Chestnut Street
  • Historical Society of Pennsylvania, 1300 Locust Street

Along with SEPTA, attendees can get to PoliticalFest locations using the Philly PHLASH bus loop, which will add an extra dedicated loop connecting all seven participating locations. PoliticalFest tickets will be honored on the PHLASH Downtown Loop throughout the week so ticket holders can connect to either loop.

PoliticalFest is ticketed, open to the public, and appropriate for all ages. Tickets are available for purchase online, with discounts available for children, seniors, and students.

U.S. veterans receive free admission to PoliticalFest.
