Are you a homeowner called to active duty with the military?

by Department of Revenue

Save money on your annual Real Estate Taxes by applying for the Real Estate Tax Credit for Active Duty Reserve and National Guard program. This credit excuses reserve military service members from paying Philadelphia property taxes while they are called to active duty outside of Pennsylvania. To be eligible, applicants must:

  • Own and live in the property as their primary residence
  • Provide documented proof of days served anywhere outside Pennsylvania in 2016

Eligible military homeowners should download an application or visit any of our Department of Revenue locations for information. Approved applicants will get relief on the City portion of their Real Estate Tax bill for the percent of the year that they were on active duty.
