Summer is just around the corner! What better way to spend your warmer days than out and about in our parks?

We all know the summer staples like family fun at The Oval, music-filled nights at the Dell Music Center, and Parks on Tap, our traveling beer garden that gives back– but there is also lots of fun to be had in your own backyard!

Here are five neighborhood parks to watch this summer:

Gorgas Park
6300 Ridge Ave., 19128 | Northwest Philadelphia

  • Put your green thumb to good use at Garden Club, Wednesdays from 6:30-7:30 p.m.
  • Stock up on local fruits and veggies at the weekly Farmer’s Market. McCann’s Farm and J’s Gouramaze bring the farm to the city every Friday from 3-7 p.m. until late October.
  • Get your groove on with the Gorgas Park Concert Series. The fun kicks off with the Roxborough Music Festival on June 2 from 1-9 p.m. Then, every other Thursday, there will be free outdoor concerts in the park from 6-9 p.m. The recurring concert series starts June 28 and runs through September 15.

Penn Treaty Park
