In light of recent fatal fires, Commissioner Adam K. Thiel will discuss the importance of fire safety and steps that residents can take to protect themselves and their homes — because fire is everyone’s fight.

The Philadelphia Fire Department received a $1 million grant from FEMA last year to install 30,000 smoke alarms in Philly. If you know city residents in need, ask them to contact Philly 311. The PFD also has adaptive alarms for the deaf and hard-of-hearing.
