Philadelphia has 20 free tax preparation sites. They are now open and can help residents get money back through the Federal Earned Income Tax Credit (EITC).

Tax season is here again, and with it, the possibility for many people to get up to $6,318 back from the federal government. EITC gives a financial boost to those who are working hard, but still finding it difficult to make ends meet.\
In previous years, around 200,000 Philadelphians received an EITC refund. The average refund was more than $2,500. But over 40,000 people who were eligible never applied!
Find a tax site
The City of Philadelphia is raising awareness of EITC and making it easy for residents to apply. It is sponsoring 20 free tax preparation sites. They are free for anyone who qualifies for EITC. The centers provide:
- Flexible hours
- Translation services
- IRS-certified preparers
There are 20 free tax prep sites in neighborhoods across the city. This online map shows the exact locations for all.
