Water bill payment plans

If you’re having trouble paying your water bill, you can arrange a payment agreement with the Water Revenue Bureau.

Standard payment agreement

To set up a payment plan for your water and sewer bill, call (215) 686-6880.

For residential agreements, a 25% down payment is required and must be paid in 6-12 months. For commercial agreements, a 50% down payment is required and must be paid in 3-6 months.

You can set up a water bill payment agreement a maximum of two times. Please be aware:

  • If you fail to meet the terms of your first payment agreement, you can either pay the entire amount due on your bill or enter into a second payment agreement.
  • If you fail to meet the terms of your second payment agreement, you must pay the entire amount due on your bill. You will not be able to enter into a third payment agreement.

After entering into a payment agreement, you must pay any new monthly water and sewer bills in full and on time, in addition to making your agreed-upon monthly payments.

Low income payment agreement

If you meet certain criteria regarding income, residency, and water usage, you may qualify for other types of water bill payment assistance, such as the Water Revenue Assistance Program (WRAP). Visit our Income-Based Water Bill Assistance page to find out more.
