PHILADELPHIA, PA —  On Saturday, June 17, more than 60 four- and five-year-olds who attended quality pre-K programs this spring through the city’s new, free PHLpreK initiative will join Mayor Kenney at Please Touch Museum for a special ceremony to celebrate their transition to Kindergarten this fall.

As part of the festivities, students will ride on the historic Dentzel Carousel with Mayor Kenney, and get complimentary Please Touch Museum admission.

Funded by the Philadelphia Beverage Tax, PHLpreK launched in January 2017 offering 2,000 free, quality pre-K seats to children across the city. This fall, 769 PHLpreK students will advance into Kindergarten.
