Philadelphia- Philadelphia Parks and Recreation Commissioner Kathryn Ott Lovell   and Councilman Curtis Jones Jr. will join community members to host a dedication ceremony for the new roller skating rink at Shepard Recreation Center. This is the first rink designed exclusively for roller skating within the Parks and Recreation system.

The roller skating rink was created on the site of an abandoned tennis court and includes 6 new fitness stations, a walking track around the rink, benches, chess tables and newly planted trees.

WHAT:
Parks and Recreation Commissioner Kathryn Ott Lovell and Councilman Curtis Jones Jr. will participate in a ribbon cutting ceremony with local community members to celebrate the new roller skating rink at Shepard Recreation Center.
