The Mayor, Eagles Chairman and CEO Jeffrey Lurie, Eagles President Don Smolenski, President Eagles Charitable Foundation, Eagles Social Responsibility Christina Weiss Lurie, President and CEO of Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP) Madeline Bell, Drexel University President John Fry and President and CEO of Thomas Jefferson University and Jefferson Health Dr. Stephen Klasko will announce the establishment of Eagles Autism Challenge, Inc. and its inaugural event, a cycling and 5K run/walk dedicated to raising funds for autism research and support.

10:20 AM Mayor Kenney to Speak at Welcoming Week 2017 Kick-Off
The Mayor and Director of the Office of Immigrant Affairs Miriam Enriquez will kick-off Welcoming Week 2017 by highlighting Al-Bustan Seeds of Culture’s Immigrant Alphabet art exhibit. The artwork was created by Northeast High School students, all of whom are either immigrants or refugees themselves, or have parents who are.  These Students have chosen to share their immigrant stories through art. The artwork will be displayed on the first floor of the Municipal Services Building.

The Mayor will present Adam F. Goldberg, Philadelphia area native and creator of hit ABC series The Goldbergs, with a Liberty Bell for his contributions to the city.

The Mayor and Director of the Office of Immigrant Affairs Miriam Enriquez will join Honorary Consul Eli Gabay to celebrate Nicaragua’s Independence Day.
