Philadelphia, PA (Sept. 24, 2016)  After a thorough and extensive search for the most qualified candidate, the Philadelphia Department of Prisons (PDP) is pleased to announce the appointment of Ceciley Bradford-Jones as the new Executive Director to the Office of Reintegration Services (R.I.S.E.).  Her 20 years of experience in the field of Social Service and Criminal Justice includes serving as Executive Director of the Center for Employment Opportunities and as Director of Administrative Services at the Pennsylvania Prison Society.

Ms. Bradford-Jones’ responsibility at R.I.S.E. will comprise of providing the lead for reentry support services to the citizens who return to our communities after incarceration. That support includes assistance with linkage and direct services with partner providers for life skills, education and job resources.

Former Interim Director of RISE and current Deputy Commissioner Terrell Bagby states, “During my interim time as the R.I.S.E Director, and as R.I.S.E. transitioned to the PDP, I had first-hand experience of what knowledge, skills, and leadership are needed for the new Executive Director.  Ms. Bradford-Jones is tailored to fill this role, with her positivity and her know how in serving this population as they work towards permanent re-entry efforts.”

Ms. Bradford-Jones begins working with the PDP on Monday, September 26, 2016.
