Philadelphia – Philadelphia Parks and Recreation today announces that 2017 applications for the Philadelphia Activities Fund Grant are available. Applications can be obtained online, at City recreation centers, Police Athletic League centers, libraries and City Council offices in City Hall.

The Philadelphia Activities Fund, Inc. (The Fund) is a non-profit corporation established by the Mayor and City Council to foster and promote the educational values of sportsmanship, the arts and health to individuals in Philadelphia.

The Fund offers financial support to programs and organizations that encourage the instruction and education of individuals, and assists non-profit organizations in Philadelphia in serving diverse segments of the community.

Non-profit organizations that received the Philadelphia Cultural Fund Grant and/or the Anti-Drug Initiative Grant are disqualified for the Philadelphia Activities Fund Grant.

The application period for fiscal year 2018 is March 1, 2017 through May 1, 2017.  If the application is mailed, it must be postmarked on or before May 1, 2017.  Applicants are encouraged to submit two copies and mail to the Philadelphia Activities Fund, 1515 Arch Street, 10th floor, Philadelphia, PA 19102.  .  Proposals can also be emailed to Pafgrant@phila.gov .
