A partners’ fair will feature city and non-profit services available to Cramp’s school community

What: On Thursday, April 20th at 1:45pm, Mayor Kenney will visit Cramp Elementary School, a City of Philadelphia designated community school, to see some of its new partners in action. A partners’ fair will showcase resources available for Cramp’s community members like the City’s BenePhilly Mobile Unit, which will be on site to help families enroll in public benefits.
The BenePhilly Mobile Unit is a fully equipped, wi-fi enabled mobile office, led by the Mayor’s Office of Community Empowerment and Opportunity. Specialists will help individuals determine eligibility for benefits like Medicaid, SNAP, LIHEAP, Child Care Subsidy (CCIS), and many more. This is the first stop on BenePhilly’s Community Schools Benefits Enrollment Tour. Between April and June, BenePhilly will visit five community schools to help families access public benefits.  

Additional exhibitors in the partners fair include Mural Arts Philadelphia, which recently launched a new arts program at Cramp; the City’s Office of Adult Education, which will help individuals enroll in adult education and English as a Second Language courses; Eat.Right.Now nutrition education program; and various other organizations that offer out-of-school-time programming, job training opportunities, and other resources.
