The deadline to register to vote in the Primary Election is less than a week away: Monday, April 17, 2017.

Recently, there have been a lot of calls for civic participation — and I couldn’t be prouder of the way Philadelphians are standing up to make sure everyone understands the values that we hold dear.

But the first step to civic participation really starts with one thing: Voting!

So if you’re not registered to vote, take a minute to do it now. You can even register to vote online!

Today, it’s easier than ever to register to vote, check your voter registration, and more — all online!

Primary elections typically have lower voter turnout rates, but they’re just as important to the political process, especially for local city government.

Take this chance to make sure your voice is heard by registering to vote before the deadline on Monday, April 17th — and ask your friends if they’re registered too!
