The Philadelphia Office of Emergency Management is changing to a new system that provides you with the emergency text and email alert system. One big change you will see is our new name — ReadyPhiladelphia.

If you previously signed up for ReadyNotifyPA, you will need to create a new account in ReadyPhiladelphia byJuly 31st to continue receiving alerts.

If you did not have an account with ReadyNotifyPA, register now to start receiving alerts.

With ReadyPhiladelphia, you can sign up to get alerts about disasters, local emergencies, weather alerts, and other important information. Some alerts may include for evacuations and shelter in place instructions, and the locations of emergency evacuation shelters for the public.

You can sign up to get alerts from the Philadelphia Police, the Prisons in Northeast Philadelphia, and the PES refinery in Southwest Philadelphia.

In addition, ReadyPhiladelphia has some new options. You can get alerts:

  • On your smartphone through a mobile application with push notifications.
  • Targeted to specific locations. It’s easy. Just select up to five addresses in Philadelphia. You can sign up to get alerts for home, work, school, or other addresses important to you.

You can get time-sensitive alerts sent to your home, mobile, or business phones. You can choose to get alerts by email address, text messages and more. With ReadyPhiladelphia, you choose where, you choose how.
