Summertime is here! Philadelphia’s parks and rec centers are the place to be this weekend, with free music events, festivals, yoga, and more.

Here are our top activities for this weekend:

Roxborough Music Festival

The first-annual Roxborough Music Festival will feature regionally and locally acclaimed performers, food trucks, art for sale, crafters, and kids’ rides and games.

Community Fishing

Bring your family to the fish hatchery ponds in Pleasant Hill, a riverfront park along the Delaware. Bait, rods, and instruction will be provided.
When: Saturday, June 23, 10 a.m.-1 p.m.

#OneGermantown Film Series: Wonder

This summer, the Germantown Special Services District will present a series of free events in Vernon Park. On Sunday, the park will host a screening of Wonder, an inspiring movie about a boy with facial differences.

Yoga at the Market

Each weekend through October, the Friends of Dickinson Square Park and instructor Miles Turner host this donation-based yoga class. After your practice, stroll over to the park’s farmers’ market for some fresh fruits and veggies!

When: Sunday, June 24, 9 a.m.-10 a.m.
Where: Dickinson Square Park Farmers’ Market (1600 E. Moyamensing Ave, 19148)
Cost: Suggested minimum donation of $5

Concerts by Candlelight: Philadelphia Flute Quartet

Come out for the kick-off show of the Concerts by Candlelight series at Laurel Hill Mansion. The Philadelphia Flute Quartet will perform works by Mozart, Debussy, Strauss, Yagizawa, Schocker, and Paubon.

When: Sunday, June 24, 6:30 p.m.

And as always, Parks on Tap is traveling around the city! All Parks on Tap locations will include seating and tables, games, restrooms, and a menu of hot food, salads, and snacks. This weekend, Parks on Tap travels to Schuylkill Banks.
