The Fire Department will mark the graduation of 10 dispatcher trainees, who completed eight weeks of training to become state-certified professional public safety telecommunicators. They work in the Fire Communications Center (FCC), which handles 911 calls and dispatches Fire and EMS vehicles to incidents citywide. FCC staff members handled nearly 568,000 calls last year.
