The City of Philadelphia recently modified its Owner-Occupied Payment Agreement (OOPA) program, with effects for some participants. It’s part of ongoing efforts to keep people in their homes, despite financial hardships. If you are enrolled in this Real Estate Tax relief program, you may soon receive a letter about these changes.

For some eligible OOPA participants, current-year taxes will now be included in their existing agreements automatically.

If this is your case, the amount of your monthly payment will stay the same, and only the length of your agreement will increase. You don’t have to do anything to receive this help.

We’re asking you to take action only if you DON’T want your existing OOPA to include outstanding or future Real Estate taxes. If you want to decline, follow the instructions in the letter you received.

If you have questions about the notice you received, please call (215) 686-6442.
