(Philadelphia) – The Streets Department is continuing its snow removal efforts following the Tuesday-Wednesday storm.  All primary and secondary roads in Philadelphia are clear, and a majority of residential streets are passable. Crews today will focus on plowing residential streets and pushing back mounds of snow near primaries and secondaries.  At the height of the storm, the Streets Department had more than 400 pieces of equipment taking part in the snow removal operation.

Trash & recycling collections will resume today. If your trash is normally collected Wednesday, it will be collected today. Thursday’s will be collected Friday, Friday’s on Saturday.  Residents should expect possible delays in this schedule.

The Department thanks residents for their patience and cooperation during the storm.  Philadelphia’s 311 non-emergency operations line will begin taking requests for plowing and/or salting on specific streets starting at noon today.
