PHILADELPHIA – The Indego bike share program today announced new pass options, pricing, and a lower minimum age requirement to support the continued growth of the program. The changes will take effect April 12, 2018.
Indego will continue to ensure that the City of Philadelphia’s bike-share program offers an affordable option for every Philadelphian. To that end, we announce the following new pass options and savings to active passholders who make Indego part of their everyday lives:
- Day Pass at kiosk – Introducing the Day Pass at the kiosk ($10/day for unlimited 30-minute rides; $4/30 minutes for rides over 30 minutes), replacing the Single Ride kiosk option ($4/30 minutes).
- Indego365 – Offering the Indego365 annual pass at $156/year (equivalent of $13/month). By upgrading to Indego365, Indego30 passholders can save $48 over 12 months. Usage fees of $4/hour for rides over an hour.
- Indego365 ACCESS – Offering the Indego365 ACCESS annual pass at $48/year (equivalent of $4/month). By upgrading to Indego365 ACCESS, current Indego30 ACCESS passholders can save 20% over 12 months. Usage fees of $2/hour for rides over an hour.
At the same time, Indego is instituting a modest price increase for the Indego30 monthly pass. Effective April 12, the monthly fee will move to $17 a month, a $2 increase over the current $15 fee. Usage fees remain the same at $4/hour for rides over an hour. Two other Indego products are unchanged:
- Indego30 ACCESS – Indego30 ACCESS monthly pass unchanged at just $5/month for PA ACCESS cardholders. Usage fees still $2/hour for rides over an hour.
- Flex Pass – Flex Pass price and usage fees remaining the same.
Indego bike share continues to offer valuable Passholder Perks for its riders through local partnerships, including free admission to the collection at the Barnes Foundation through September 30, 2018.
Also, effective April 12, the minimum age for riders will be lowered from the current 16 years to 14 years. This will expand transit opportunities for high school students and their commute to and from school and open up opportunities for additional youth programming.
